Is it crazy to anyone else when they turn 25 it's kind of freaky?? I swear just yesterday I was turning 16 and then 18 and then FINALLY 21! But this 25 thing....kinda came a little fast!! I was not prepared! Although I do KNOW that 25 is going to be the BEST YEAR EVER!!!

I am a huge pink and Zebra fan so my mom, hubby, and in-laws made sure everything at my party was in Pink & Zebra! I got a bunch of great gifts, including 2 ZEBRA purses (totally different) I'm pretty sure Chris is sick of how many shoes & purses I have. I also got a BRAND NEW NIKON CAMERA!!!! It's the D5100 and I am in HEAVEN!!

Then from Chris I got a GORGEOUS locket!! I have been asking for a locket for some time now. If any of you know Lauren Alaina (she was the runner up on the 2011 season of American Idol) she has this new song called The Locket, it's like The Notebook just in song version! I am an old fashioned kind of gal at heart! I know I was meant to grow up in the 1900's not the 2000's!! Here are the lyrics!

Christmas was at my in-laws house again this year, it's just easier to have it at their house. We are combining a bunch of families and gifts so we need as much room as possible.

When Chris and I went on our last cruise we realized that we needed an underwater camera, a nice one, because those disposables are pointless and 1/2 of our underwater pictures didn't really turn out anyways. Well my mom got us this underwater camera!! Time for another vacation?!??!

Chris has gotten into working out a lot so I got him an arm band for his I-phone.

And, Dr. Dre Beats that wrap around your ear so they don't fall off when running/working out.

My Christmas present from Chris was a brand new Mountain Bike, I have been riding every day since and let me tell you, I'm out of shape, including my butt. Those seats are extremely hard to sit on for a long period of time!

Curt and Doricca got us a SUPER nice grill that we can take camping! I will be doing a BUNCH of cooking now when we are out camping!!

Dr. Update....

Last week I had an appointment with our doctor. I had a regular "female" check up, which only if you are a female you know how amazingly FUN those are (totally sarcastic). My nurse was hilarious though and was telling jokes the entire time. I'm sure all of you women know the dr has to tell you to "scoot" down.....my nurse was telling me she used to work for a dr who would say this to his clients (ones he knew very well & knew it was a joke) "scoot down, if you feel my mustache you went to far" I started laughing so hard & I think it made Chris relax LOL. I also had a pelvic exam done and a basic ultra sound, just to make sure everything looked good, especially my "innards". I got a call on Monday saying that everything came back & looked GREAT!! So my doctor said now Chris and I have to do the hard work. I have come to the conclusion that our part really is the HARD part! It sucks having to wait and just wondering & questioning!! AARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! :) I guess it will happen when it is right but if you have not been in this situation & you are fertile mertile you have no room to talk LOL

I do have one thing to say on my soap box & then peoples negativity will no longer affect me.

I was speaking with a "client" the other day (I'm not going to mention names or anything, because this person is not a regular of mine at the salon) This person was talking about somebody they knew who kept having miscarriages and was having problems getting pregnant (this person had no idea I've lost 2 - I chose not to tell this person my story after I heard her "opinion" on miscarriages)

FIRST OFF OPINIONS ARE OPINIONS & I AM FINE WITH THAT BUT THIS WAS MORE OF A STATEMENT THAT THIS PERSON HAD "PROOF OF" NOT AN OPINION!

This person proceeded to tell me that this lady who was having the miscarriages had to have been on many drugs & had to be an alcoholic because the only reason people lose babies is if they are killing them on their own free will (my blood is boiling at this point). She then proceeded to tell me that studies show miscarriages don't just "happen" the woman has to be doing drugs or consuming a great deal of alcohol to lose a baby during pregnancy. She just kept going on and on & me being the professional technician that I am couldn't tell the lady off & tell her there is the door out of the building don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya!!!!!

So here is my opinion (like I've said before you don't want to keep reading you can exit my blog right now :) ):

First let me say, I HAVE NEVER DONE DRUGS EVER!!!! None, not-a, zip-o!!!!! Also, let me add NEITHER HAS CHRIS!!! Yes I've been offered, not sure what teenager hasn't, but I opted to "Just Say No" Yes, I had friends who did drugs who opted to not be friends with me because I said no. I am proud of my decision to not do drugs & I will be able to tell my kids that I chose the healthy way to live my life.

Second I AM NOT AN ALCOHOLIC & NEITHER IS CHRIS!!! Yes I may have an occasional glass of wine with dinner but I am lucky if I have 10 drinks A YEAR! Yes I said A YEAR! Chris likes to have a beer to relax after a rough day on the job but we will buy a 6 pack of beer and it will last us 6 MONTHS! When we started trying to have a baby back in August 2010 I STOPPED DRINKING EVERYTHING! When I finally decided to take a break & new there was no chance of me getting/being pregnant I started having an occasional glass of wine. When we just started trying again October 2011 I STOPPED DRINKING!!!! So needless to say I'm not an alcoholic.

Please would someone explain to me with proof/evidence of what the hell that lady was talking about? I'm definitely confused......but I know deep down that she was just bat crazy!! God makes the decision to keep his angels or let us borrow one here on earth! :) So until God wants to give me an angel I'll just keep doing what i'm doing & stay healthy!

On another note, I have been learning a bunch of things that you can do/eliminate while trying to get pregnant that sure as heck can't hurt trying to get pregnant. Things I didn't know....

Sorry if I "hurt" someones feelings but like I've said before this is MY blog NOT YOURS!

This is a post about some personal stuff in Chris & I's life but I want to have it for memory....if you start reading and don't want to keep reading, that's up to you. But I obviously don't mind sharing or I wouldn't be blogging in the first place!

YES this might be TMI (too much information) but as most of you know I suffered a miscarriage back in May. Well most don't know I immediately had a second one as well. I found out I was pregnant with the first fetus (I don't call it a baby...I think it helped me heal faster) at the end of February 2011. I was 10 weeks when I went in for my 2nd check up and we couldn't find a heart beat. I had no idea that the fetus had stopped growing at 7 weeks. The first miscarriage happened on Mother's Day 2011. Roughly 6 weeks later I found out I was pregnant again, NOT PLANNED! I went in for my 1st check up and found out that there was no embryo in the sack. Very rough to handle. I told Chris that I needed time mentally as well as physically before we started to try and have a baby again. We PREVENTED it!! If you have not been through a miscarriage, do not judge because you have no idea what the body does & how it takes a toll on your heart, body & soul. I also decided during our "preventing" stage that I wanted a new doctor.

My old doctor's office was absolutely horrid, at least I thought. The front desk people were extremely rude every time I went in and numerous times they forgot/lost my appointment, numerous times they had me dress down to a robe, to have the doctor come in and say ummm...why are you in a gown I don't need you in a gown get back in your clothes. Then on numerous times they would tell me I didn't need an ultrasound so I could go ahead and pee, when to turn out they needed a urine sample as well as an ultrasound so I had to sit around and down ounces of h2o before they could perform the above mentioned. That would take at least an hour before we could accomplish those. When I had the first miscarriage the doctor was in the middle of delivering a baby, he came in, handed me some grieving papers and said that I had to have 2 more miscarriages before he tested for ANYTHING. The second miscarriage he just said try again and see ya in a couple of months. Needless to say I was fed up with that office.

Back to the new doctor.....In August Chris was in a work accident where he broke a rib while searching a building, he fell through a 10 foot wooden box, which landed him at the ER with broken ribs & head injuries. We had to go back to our "family" doctor for a check up with Chris and I FORBID to take him to the above doctor. I proceeded to call around to friends and found a doctor by the name John Sanders. I made the appointment for Chris and absolutely felt at home in his office. He was from Florida and had just moved to Moab a few weeks before that. Needless to say I was IN LOVE! He made us feel so welcomed and actually sat and talked with us about follow up care and things we could do at home.

Chris and I decided in October that we were ready to start trying again. It had been about 3 months since the second miscarriage and my monthly visit from mother nature was back on track. I went in and met with Dr. Sanders, he drew some blood and he tested for my progesterone levels as well as my FSH levels. They all came back normal. Which is a great sign! I go in next week for a pelvic and regular ultra sound to make sure all of my internals are ok. He told Chris and I that we do the duty of getting the baby and he will do the duty of keeping the baby in my belly. Apparently there are ways to prevent miscarriages unless God just says NO. Another thing I forgot to mention of the above mentioned doctor HE NEVER ONCE tested my levels during my first pregnancy NO BLOOD WORK WAS DONE until after the miscarriage to make sure my levels were done. Dr. Sanders told me that he was taught at a Catholic school and they believe in keeping babies not getting rid of babies so he would do everything in his power to make sure we kept that healthy baby. He is such a great dr and I couldn't ask for anything better. If you are from a small town you understand how you can be limited on resources when it comes to health care. I am so blessed to have Dr. Sanders in Moab and to hopefully have a new bundle of joy within the year or so. I will keep you updated on the progress & what the doctor says. Like I said if you don't want to read about this kind of stuff you are more than welcome to delete my blog from your peeping schedule! :)

Chris' Cousin Stacey has been a VERY good friend of mine since Chris and I got together. She was one of my bridesmaids and I watched her little boy for a long time! We have been through a lot together & Chris & I were so happy for her this weekend. She found the love of her life & they were married November 5, 2011! She looked absolutely beautiful that day & as soon as I saw her walking down the aisle I LOST IT! I cried like I was 5 again!! The pictures are not so good, my camera has been acting up lately....not sure what's going on with it......We love you Stacey!

I have a ton of pictures I want to upload on here but seriously the process is such a pain. Am I missing a hint on uploading or are people really that patient to upload 20 to 30 pictures each post? Seriously!!

I cannot believe that Chris and I have been married a year as of Sunday (08/29/10). He surprised me yesterday at work with a gorgeous flower/plant to keep at my tellar station. Finally an update!!

ONE BIG HUGE TRUCK + 3 MEN + THOUSANDS OF BOXES + TONS OF STRESS = THE MOVE!!!

We packed up our house on a Friday and the truck was then left at a storage unit at All My Sons for them to drive to Moab on Saturday to unpack. Chris & I decided to go down Friday evening to Moab & to get into our house so we were there first thing in the morning when the movers were going to be there.

We got to our house at about midnight and had to blow up the air mattress to sleep on, realized all we had for covers was a sheet & the dogs blankets. Luckily we had a fire place to keep us warm. Got a PARTIAL 4 hour sleep, woke up and realized we couldn't shower because we didn't have warm water......talk about a rough night. But all in all we finally got the moving truck there & unpacked.

The next process to moving was enjoying the lake that was 5 minutes from our house that YOU DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR TO VISIT & DOGS ARE WELCOME!!!! I'm definitely not used to that experience. We decided we needed to teach Cirrus to swim especially after losing about 10 tennis balls out in the water that she wouldn't swim to & Kyra would swim right by them but wouldn't get them (she's to smart to play fetch, playing fetch is for stupid dogs). So, the next pictures are teaching Cirrus to swim (or child abuse....I haven't quite decided what to call it....) All - in - all she learned to swim!!

I have to give a special thanks to my madre!! She spent the whole week after we moved with me & got my house completely unpacked!!! As soon as I can take pictures of the house all done up I will post them on here. We have our garage to organize (which will hopefully get done this weekend) and then we are completely done. I do have to mention. The next time we move, life will be a lot easier because I got rid of a TON of stuff and have stuff put away where it should be instead of just cluttered around the house.

Living in Moab has been great. I work at Amber Waves Salon doing nails. The only hard part is Chris is still up at POST in Salt Lake until July 15th when he graduates. He goes Monday thru Thursday and then comes home to Moab Thursday night & then leaves Sunday afternoon, so atleast I get to see him every weekend.

I have been asked about a thousand times, "When can we expect a baby??" Well, we have decided to put off having a baby until we are officially settled in Moab, since we do believe we will have to move again in a year (hopefully to our own home in Moab) we don't want to have to move a baby. So sorry folks, you still have to wait a while!! :-)

You know you live in the ghetto when you put an old junky entertainment center and a box full of JUNK out on your front side walk with a "FREE" sign on it and it's gone LITERALLY w/in 1 hour!!!! NOT A JOKE!!!

As you all know we are packing and moving this Friday so I'm going through the house and getting rid of stuff and I have had this old entertainment center for almost 4 years now and we don't need it anymore so Chris and I drug it out to the sidewalk and I put a free sign on it and then put a box full of junk out there with a free sign as well and they were gone within 1 hour. Now I'm going through my house wondering what else I can get rid of by just putting out on my front sidewalk....hmmm....I have a ton of clothes I want to get rid of maybe I'll do that tomorrow.

Well here comes the big move!! I'll update once we get internet and I have pictures of the new home!! P.S. We did end up hiring movers, we figured it out and with people having to take off work and pay for uhauls and gas etc., it would have cost just about as much, plus my momma helped us out on hiring the movers so, THANKS MOM!!! WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!

A New Start To Our Crazy Lives!

Well as you can see my FlyLady blogging has kind of been put on hold, but NOT for bad reasons but GOOD reasons!

Reason #1 - I've been in school learning how to do nails since February 2, 2010. I graduate April 1, 2010. 2 months full time and completely FAST PACED. It's crazy but I totally love it! I'll post pictures later of my success in the past little while.

Reason #2 - We are officially MOVING TO MOAB!! Yeah, that's right, you read it right, we are MOVING!!! Chris is now an officer for the Moab City Police Department. We found a cute duplex to rent for right now and it's only 2 years old. We get to have our pets & and everything as well. Life is turning great!! We are moving April 16th while Chris is in POST training and then he will be done in July and then he will be back in Moab and our lives will be finally settled!! I am so excited that I wish we could just move right now. It may not be for awhile because once we move I don't know how long it will be until I can get internet. I'm going to have from April to July to get our house organized because I will be in Moab and Chris will be in a dorm room at the POST up here in Salt Lake, since our house will be rented by then.

Holy Cow, I don't know what else to say. Any suggestions on moving? I'm not sure what would be a better choice, hiring or doing it ourselves?? What do you think?

One More Day.....One More Baby Step

Well I took a little detour from our master bathroom, to the refrigerator/freezer. I opened it this morning & noticed there was food in there from New Years....YIKES!!! The pictures don't show it very well but I literally threw away 2 garbage bags of old junky food. It feels great to have a SHINY sink & a CLEAN refrigerator.

I'm sure it doesn't look like I did much but I literally threw away TONS of OLD lotions & perfumes I honestly think I've had since high school or some that had barely a drop left in them. I also threw away tons of old sheets that don't even fit the bed I have now & I have no idea why I still had them. With the towels, wash cloths, and hand towels I only got rid of 2 hand towels. I just re-folded them to be even and lay right on top of the next towel, that made a huge difference in my closet. It took me roughly an hour.

My next project is going to be my bedroom bathroom. It's just a half bath but it's terrible inside, because I am the only one to get ready in there and you girls definitely know how messy we can be. Makeup, hairspray, hair products, etc., I probably won't be able to do it for a few days since tomorrow is Monday and I will be back at the grind but hey doing 2 big things over the weekend definitely made me feel great!

AND, I have had my tennis shoes on all day & my sink is still shiny & clean!!

2010: A New Year A New Brewer Way

So for 2010 my goal is to be settled & clutter free by Christmas 2010.

The settled part is on the D.L. (Down Low) until it is offical but I will keep everybody updated.

The clutter part started with my asking my facebook friends for advice. One gal told me to look up flylady.com. I do have to admit the website is kind of a TON to absorb in 2 hours (literally that's how long I've been reading the website), but I have a few pages that have become my favorites. I only have a few because I haven't gotten that far yet. (the space in between FLYingLessons & Routines etc., is an underscore so it should look like this FLYingLessons_Routines, FLYingLessons_Declutter, FLYingLessons_ControlJournal10, I'm not quite sure why it did that)

So basically I started my day with putting my tennis shoes on and deep cleaning my sink. Like the FlyLady says, if you put your tennis shoes on everyday you have no excuse to not take out garbage or anything else outdoors, and if you keep up with your deep cleaned sink you just have to keep it cleaned up.

The process for deep cleaning my sink went as followed:

-Fill ONE side of the sink with hot water, to the top of the sink & add ONE cup of bleach.

-Let sit for ONE hour

-Rinse WELL

-Poor Bar Keepers Friendly (for stainless steel, or any other scrubbing such as comet) on the sink & down in the drain

-Scrub with SOS pad or scrubber

-Rinse WELL

-Spray Windex all over sink & wipe with rag/paper towel

-For a much more shine, poor a tiny amount of Olive Oil or Lemon Oil on a rag & wipe all over the sink. I used Olive Oil.

Here are some photos of my deep cleaned sink. I didn't take any pictures before (which I regret now) but I also am putting pictures of the rags. They were disgustingly black and I thought my sink was pretty clean, although being stainless steel it hides a lot of flaws.

Replacing Twilight?!?!

If anyone is a Twilight fanatic like I am, they will understand that once you read the series you cannot seem to find a book that compares.

I have found another series (yes on vampires & love, but definitely more graphic then Twilight). I have finished 3 out of the 6 books in 3 weeks. Am I crazy? Yes I do believe I am, but I love them. Ok, so they don't exactly compare to Twilight (I do not think anything ever will) but atleast I have finally found something I cannot seem to put down.

The books are called the House of Night Novels. They are written by P.C. Cast + Kristin Cast. If you can handle more graphic in books then you should definitely check them out, they will catch you!!

Just a quick post!

I cannot believe we are getting married! In 10 days I will be Mrs. Chris Brewer! I honestly am so ecstatic ( is that how you spell that )!!!!

I have all of the planning done and so now I just get to sit back and enjoy the following week. I am no longer MAJORLY stressed, I admit there is a tid bit of nervousness mainly because I want everything to go right. But like Chris says, "It's you and I honey, that's all that matters" and that turns everything right back around!

I'm not sure if everyone got an invitation or not. After sending out 140 invites I start forgetting who wanted one.

Well, I got a job with ZipRealty!! I am so excited! I just need to pass the exam now (hopefully within the next week). I already have the schooling done and now it's just the test. I am a horrible test taker. I have test anxiety horribly! If anyone has any suggestions on how to get over that PLEASE let me know! I also am thinking of getting a new car (in the near future when I am doing well at selling homes) so I have something nice to drive my clients around. Here are a few cars I am debating on,

The second thing is that the wedding is literally 2 months away! I cannot believe it is coming up so fast!!! My bridal shower is going to be August 1st at my grandparents house in Lehi (also where the wedding is going to be). I need address's for those wanting invites to either the shower or the wedding or to both. I hope to see everyone there!

The third thing is that we are registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond and I was just wondering if there are certain things for cooking, cleaning or just household items that I just cannot live without. If you know of something that you got for your wedding that you absolutely love let me know so I can register for it!

The fourth thing is that I need some suggestions of fun things to do on our honeymoon. We are going on a cruise. we are leaving out of Miami Florida, then going to Grand Caymen Islands, then to Isla Roatan, Belize, and Cozumel and we have 2 full days at sea. If anyone has been to any of these items and knows of fun things to do please let me know!!

Austin's High School Graduation

So Chris and I went down for his baby brother's high school graduation. My pictures are kind of crappy because I just got a new touch screen camera and I don't know how to use it. Ok, well I know it has taken me forever to update this thing! But give me a break I'm a busy woman planning a wedding and going to school (yes again). So basically this is how the night went. The pictures are way out of order so I'll explain. We drove to (picture #4) Midvale which is where the Homestead is and we swam in the crater. Then after the crater we went to dinner and during dessert our waitress brought me the flowers and this plate (Picture #3) and then Chris got down on 1 knee and I'm mad at myself because I was crying so hard that I don't even remember what he said. I was hysterical (as you can see by the pictures where my face is bright red).

A Holiday Update

Hi Everyone!! Just an update on the crazy Holidays we have had! Attached are a ton of pictures. Including Christmas, My Birthday in Moab, Our Snow Day, Chris' cousin Stacey's baby Garrett and the scrapbooking area Chris built me in our office. We were so thankful to be able to spend time with Chris' family and be able to have my mom down in Moab. We hope you all had a great holiday and are ready for a New Year. Twilight...Finally

So Chris & I finally went to see Twilight last night! I do have to admit it wasn't as good as the book (are the movies ever as good as the book?). Anywho.., I still love Edward and I love Rob Pattinson in the movie I just don't like him in real life. A girl can dream though that Edward does actually exist and that him and Bella are real & alive somewhere. :) Ok I know I'm just being a silly girl who has an infactuation on an invisible character. ha ha! I now cannot wait for New Moon to come out I heard it will be released November 20, 2009. How exciting!

Our weekend....

Ok so I caught a cold from my co-workers and started feeling it Friday morning. I hate being sick especially when it's in my sinus's (did I spell that right) it feels like my head is going to burst any minute. Anyway, Saturday I bundled up and went to dinner with my best friends Katelyn, Rachel & Shantelle. We decided to go to the Red Rock Brewery in Salt Lake and other then the parking being absolutely ridiculous the place had extremely good food. After dinner we headed to Temple Square (pictures to come) to see the Christmas Lights(note: next year do NOT go on a Saturday!!!). It was so busy we had to wait until their was a clearing in the crowd to get pictures in front of the reflection pond and let me tell you what that was a bit harder than it sounds people are so oblivious to others. Everytime we would get a clearing we would be about to take the picture and somebody would walk right in front of us and they would be in our picture. We definitely had a blast though and I love those girls to death I don't know where my life would be without them.

I then attempted to drive home after leaving the girls and I got on I-80 to go to I-215 because that only takes me about 10 minutes to get to my house. Well me being an idiot missed the I-215 entrance and started to head for Wendover. There was no place to turn around so I had to keep going until I hit Magna (not sure where that is) so instead of a 10 minute drive it took me an hour to get home. Needless to say I learned my lesson and now I know my way around that area.

Sunday, Chris called in sick (he had the 24 hour flu) and we both slept in bed and watched movies ALL DAY! Finally at about 3:00 we both got up and I started doing laundry (luckily the house was still clean so I didn't have to do much cleaning) and I made rolls and hot chocolate and we watched The Christmas Shoes.....

It is definitely a sad movie but it makes you realize what Christmas is really about. Chris and I cuddled on the couch w/ Kyra on top of us. Then after we bundled up and decided we needed to get out of the house and Kyra was getting annoyed with us just sitting at home all day. So we loaded her up in the truck and went and got hot chocolate and drove around and saw all of the Christmas lights around our blocks. There is one street that reminds me of Deck The Halls (great movie).

Anyway....that was our weekend. Now it's back to work and the count down is on to Christmas in Moab. I cannot wait!!!

Four Christmases

Chris' dad Curt was in town the past 2 days and we absolutely love having him in town because we always go out to dinner and we get a night out and we have a part of his family with us (even if it is only for a day or so).

Well last night we decided to go to Iggy's at Jordan Landing and then we went and saw Four Christmases. I was laughing so hard I seriously thought I was going to pee my pants. There are a few parts (WARNING SPOILER ALERT IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEEN IT ) where a baby throws up on Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn starts dry heaving and his facial expressions and the way he pretended to dry heave was killing me! I was laughing so hard I started snorting! If you haven't seen this movie it definitely is worth seeing especially if on Christmas or any other holiday you feel like you never get to relax because you have to rush rush rush to get to all of the family in just one day!

Hi everybody, Here are a few photos from Thanksgiving at my (Maggie's) grandparents house. There are only a few because my camera battery died right after taking the 4th picture. We had a great time and were so happy to be able to spend time with my family. Now, we can't wait for Christmas to spend time in Moab with Chris' family. Just An Update!

Well it's been awhile since I have update this blog. Recently it has felt like I am getting behind in everything. We are officially moved into our house but I still have about 5 more boxes to unpack but it seems like I can never keep the house clean it's such a pain. Chris says it looks perfectly clean but me being a girl I'm a lot more picky! I have gotten behind in scrapbooking and keeping the family/friends updated on this blog.

Our New Home

Just an update! We finally got the keys to our new home! It's officially ours & will be for the next 30 years (or until we sale it). Now begins the process of moving! Twice in one year is twice too many!! Although, this move is definitely going to be worth it. There is a backyard, fully fenced, just for Kyra and our back door even has a doggie door! Elk Hunt 2008

Chris & I went down to Moab the week of the 15th and spent the entire week in Moab. A vacation we definitely needed & deserved. For the first 4 days down in Moab we went up to Dark Canyon and spent the time camping, roasting marshmallows but most of all HUNTING! Not just any hunting but ELK hunting. If you have never seen an elk they are the size of a horse, possibly bigger. The following pictures are of the elk hunt and of us just out searching for the elk and then there are 2 photos of Kyra and her hole she dug in the back yard of Chris' parents home. She looks sad in one and then the other one she just acts like nothing is wrong, I guarantee if she could speak she would have said, "What mom? What hole? I didn't do anything I'm PERFECT!"

Surgery -- July 15, 2008

Well, this is past news but I just got these pictures and wanted to post them on here because they are just perfectly cute!

I had surgery on my left knee on July 15, 2008 and I was laid up for about a week. The following pictures are about an hour after being out of surgery and being in our home in my bed! FINALLY! After such a long day I never thought this would come.

Buying a home....

Buying a home is difficult, disappointing but a complete blast at the same time! I do not understand how all of these things can act together but they do. Chris and I have decided to start looking for a home in the South South Salt Lake area (a.k.a Sandy, Riverton, West Jordan, South Jordan etc...). Last night we got pre-approved for a home and when we gave the owner our offer he decided at 11:00 p.m. last night at the very last minute that he didn't want to sale it anymore and that he just wanted to rent it. We went through all of the paper work all of the hassle with the mortgage company for NOTHING! Atleast for now nothing! We have decided that, that specific home obviously was not meant for us.

Chris and I have noticed that when we are meant to have something, it pretty much just falls into our laps such as our apartment, Kyra and Chris' truck. All of these things came out of the blue and we acted upon them as soon as they were an option for us! Kyra I think was our biggest investment and our biggest suprise.

We're definitely hoping that this home buying process happens the same way because we haven't been disappointed in any of our earlier spree of the moment purchases!

We Found A Dog

Chris and I have been out looking for homes in our area and just getting an idea of how much we'd like to spend and all those things you think about when getting a home. When we go out driving we always take the truck so Kyra can go along for the ride. It was Saturday August 16th. We were driving East on 7800 South and were about to 2200 West in West Jordan when we saw a Chocolate Lab running down the sidewalk. We decided to turn around and see if he had any tags. When we pulled over the dog wanted nothing to do with us and he ran off so we drove down the street and was calling to the dog. He stopped for a moment and we rolled past him and came to a stop. Kyra then proceeded to jump out of the back of the truck and went up to him which she gets in big trouble for doing that, but this dog stopped and Kyra went up to him and they sniffed each other and Chris put the tailgate down and he jumped right up in the back of the truck. He did not have tags so we decided to drive around in the neighborhood that he was wandering in but nobody had ever seen him before. We decided to call the vet to see if we could bring him in to see if he was chipped (which is something I highly recommend!!! So if you ever lose your dog he can be tracked). Sadly, he was not chipped. The vet told us to take him over to the humane society and they have kennels that you can put found animals in until Monday morning when they open. We drove over and it was the saddest, most inhumane place I had ever been to. There were 2 SMALL kennels (THAT'S IT) in the first kennel there was about 3 cats and 15 kittens, and in the second kennel there were 2 dogs already! With hardly any water! It was ridiculous! I started crying so hard and I told Chris I couldn't leave him here. He is such a sweet lab. His toenails were painted red and he knows how to sit and fetch. He is obviously a family dog. So we took him back to our apartment and him and Kyra have become best friends. For Joey though that's a different story. Joey ran away from the dog although he didn't ever go far just far enough where he could keep his eye on that dog. We're still not sure what we are going to do with him. We went and bought a travel kennel for Kyra to stay in and we put "Buddy" (we had to give him a name) in her big metal kennel. He's already house trained although we have a patio and Joey's bed is out there and he obviously wanted to prove to the cat that he's the boss cause he peed on it. Luckily! It was outside and we can get him a new bed. Other than that he's been a great dog. Yesterday afternoon we took them both to the dog park and played fetch with Buddy and Kyra played with all of the other dogs. I only have one photo of Buddy at the moment the others are on my camera and I will post them a little later. If anyone knows of somebody that lost a lab on Saturday in the West Jordan area please tell them to contact us.

We Just Love Moab

Chris and I went to Moab July 20 - 21, 2008 and we had an absolute blast! We got in Saturday evening at about 5 and went straight over to Grandpa Keith's birthday party he turned 75 and he still acts like he's 20. Then we went home and decided to pull out the karaoke machine. That was pretty interesting. Chris and I know we can't sing but it's just a blast doing it anyways. Then Sunday we took the Razor's and Rhino's up to Dark Canyon to go fishing and have lunch.

The Dark Knight

Chris took me on a date last night to the new Batman movie The Dark Knight!!! Can I just say that I loved this movie. I never saw Batman The Beginning but ever since I saw the trailor for this movie I have been wanting to see it. Now, I remember when I saw the trailor for this I wondered who played the Joker (picture below) then when I found out Heath Ledger had died and they said that he was in the upcoming Batman movie as the Joker I was totally shocked! I mean I was very sad when Heath died but this just made me want to see the movie even more. I cannot believe how much the movie has made in 3 days of being out. I think the last time I read it was up to $190 million and just on Monday it made nearly $30 million dollars!! CRAZY! That's a record! Anyway...I kept watching the Joker to see if I could tell that it was Heath Ledger cause you can usually tell his voice like in 10 Things I Hate About You & his other movies but seriously I could not for the life of me hear his accent while he played the Joker. It didn't even seem like it was him. People that knew Heath say that his part in this movie put a lot of stress on his life and he couldn't sleep. Well now after seeing the movie I definitely can see what they mean. If you haven't seen this movie yet you really need to see it. Just don't start clapping after the movie is over that's just cheesy! :)

Selling Mary Kay

About a year in a half ago I found that I had no time to devote to Mary Kay and I still have many items that I need to sale and I am willing to sale them at discounted price just so I can get them out of our house. When I finally do go through my inventory I will put a list with prices on here and I will update it everytime I sale something or if the price changes. The Western Stampede was a blast. We went with Brandon, Christine, Braxton and Peyton Freeman. We had such a blast. The picture above with the blond lady who tried to fight me. Here's the story, nobody had sat in front of us yet and the rodeo had been started for 15 minutes. I had my drink and my program on the bench in front of us and our feet were up on the bench. I didn't see her coming and she proceeds to step over my feet and my drink and I then say, "Here, let me move my stuff" I noticed that she was giving me a dirty look and so I turned to her and she then said, "It's just a piece of paper" I then said, "Look I was just saying let me move my stuff so you didn't kick my drink over and have it spill on somebody" She just stared at me and then sat down and proceeded to talk smack to her sister right in front of me. I was so upset it took all I had not to throw my drink on her and wash off all of her make-up. She was like 40 trying to act 21 again! CRAZY WOMAN!!!

Today....what more to say?

I am in the worst mood right now! I just went to put $20 in my car and it barely gave me 5 gallons in my tank. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! This seriously needs to stop, the raising of gas prices and the raising of everything in this world. I am seriously just so frustrated. I remember when $20 bucks would literally fill my gas tank. Now it's about $60 to $70!

On another note, I work at Witt & Anderson a law firm in Lehi and we just had a case get dismissed out of court and now all of the news stations are contacting us because it's a case that happened last season during a high school football game. Channel 4 news is coming to our office in about 30 minutes to do a story on Brett (our partner attorney that got the case dismissed) so he can let everyone know the scam that went down on this case. Let's just say some of the evidence was tampered with NOT just by the Prosecuting Attorney BUT by the Police Department and everyone involved in the Prosecuting side. Be sure to watch tonight Wednesday July 2, 2008 at 10:00 p.m.

WOW! It sure has been a rough day. It's about 4:30 p.m. and I get to go home at 5:00 p.m. finally, I never thought it would end. Even though this is supposed to be a short week because of the Fourth Of July on Friday it seems to be dragging along. Chris and I are planning on taking Kyra up the canyon tonight just to hang out and watch her play in the water. I'll take pictures and post them in the next couple of days/weeks (give me a break if it's weeks I'm a busy gal)

Our Amazing Neighbors The Freeman's

Chris & I moved to West Jordan back in March and in April we had the most amazing neighbors anyone could ever ask for move in. Brandon, Christine, Braxton & Peyton Freeman moved in right below us. At the beginning of June they found an abandoned Blue Pit Bull. They named him Cannon. Kyra & Cannon have become best friends and they love wrestling any chance they get. Chris & I also have a cat named Joey and he's getting used to Cannon but at first both Joey & Cannon were not sure about each other. May 31, 2008 College Graduation

I just graduated college on May 31, 2008 with my Associates of Science in Business Management. Here are some photos from the graduation and then the BBQ we had at my grandparents after.

This was the one of the best days of my life. I have worked so hard the past 2 years on getting to this day and it finally came. It was an indescribable feeling excepting that diploma (although it was just the case to hold the diploma you get the actual diploma 6 weeks after graduation) still, it was an amazing feeling knowing that I completed this on my own while working full time Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and sometimes later and then going to school from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and then coming home and doing homework until about 1 a.m. and then waking up the next day and doing the exact thing all over again. I managed to find Chris during this hectic time in my life and he stood by me through it all I owe a lot of it to him. I owe the most of it to my mom though. She has showed me that no matter what happens in your life you have to keep going toward your goals and not letting anyone stand in your way and that's exactly what I have done.

Thank you Mom & Chris I love you both so much words cannot describe!

As most of you know we have a puppy. Her name is Kyra and she's a Siberian Husky. She'll be 5 months old on June 22, 2008. She's getting so big I cannot believe she is only 5 months. Kyra loves to be out doors and like a true husky she loves to pull things, such as Chris will get on his long board and she will just run until he tells her to stop. She also loves it when we go for bike rides. Maggie will ride in the front and Chris is right behind her riding on his bike and Kyra is pulling him to catch up to me. It definitely tires her out and she loves it!! I've attached some photos we have of her so far and there will be tons more to come.
