.....poem.....

Some onesies are pink,

some onesies are blue,

we have some news

to share with you,

you know we've been hoping,

our wish has come true,

a baby is coming,

on September 3rd its due!

My Hero

I am super proud of my husband. He is such a hard working man and carries a ton of burdens on his shoulders through out the day, whether it be work, the house, me, the girls (our dogs) or school work. I am extremely blessed to have found him, and he is ALL mine! How did I deserve to become so lucky?? I must have kissed the right butt up in heaven! J/K!!!

We attended my husbands work yearly party a couple of weeks ago. We knew that there was going to be an award for Officer of The Year and all the officers and staff were voting to decide which officer decided to earn the award.

My husband was chosen as Officer of The Year!

I believe he definitely earned this title & award, but it didn't come easily. It came with seeing incidents in his career in 1 1/2 years that the Chief hasn't seen in over 20 years. For some odd reason the shit (pardon my french) just finds my husband. I can't go into detail what he is dealt with but if you can imagine it it's probably happened. There have been times where I get frustrated because he is ALWAYS going out of his way to help any of the other officers or co-workers. If he is off duty and we are out driving and see one of his buddies with their lights on he immediately calls to see if they are ok or if they need help. He is always looking out for everybody else & always wants to be there if somebody needs back up.

I couldn't be more proud of him and somedays I don't think I tell him that enough, but I am eternally grateful for my partner that I have found for eternity! I love you Chris you are My Hero!

- Sugar Scrub -

I decided to start making my own sugar scrub for the salon, it is a lot cheaper and a lot less expensive!

Ingredients,
Sugar (regular cane sugar)
Oil (I use grape seed oil but you can use olive oil)
Some sort of essential oil (I used lavender)

Basically you just get a container that has a lid and fill about 1/2 full with sugar. Then you pour in the oil and you mix, you want the mixture to be course but smooth at the same time. If it's to runny it won't scrub like it should. You will just have to experiment with it until you get the mixture right. Then add your essential oil!

Enjoy!
